Your competitive research assistant for local search markets.
This guide covers the Chrome extension — NFP running right on your Google results, where the research actually happens.
About three minutes — download the zip, turn on Developer mode, load it unpacked. The install guide walks through every step with screenshots, plus fixes for the common errors.
Install the extensionCan't find it in Chrome? Sideloaded extensions can get disabled — the install guide puts it back.
NFP analyzes Google search results and Google Business Profiles to help you find low-competition, high-opportunity local markets. The extension works right on Google: pin it, open it on a search page, and start researching in seconds — and because it reads the results you're already browsing, searching costs you no credits.
Open NFP while on a Google search page. Enter a keyword and a location to analyze the competition.
DR and Spam are there to read, not to rank — the 0–100 score is built from review counts, ratings and referring domains, and deliberately leaves those two out. Use them as a second opinion on a result the score already flagged.
NFP has two ways to save research — they serve different purposes.
Save a niche you want to track. Rate it with stars, add tags, and write notes. Favorites represent a market opportunity — e.g. "plumber in Austin, TX".
Save a specific business or website from the results. Bookmarks capture the domain, phone, rating, and type (GBP or Organic). Great for tracking competitors or leads.
Access Favorites and Bookmarks anytime from the icon row at the top of the popup. Both work the same way: a search box and tag filter on the toolbar, with everything else behind Filters & Export — filter by keyword, location, date, rating or score, then export or delete exactly what's left. The button shows how many filters are active, so you're never reading a filtered list without knowing it.
Column Settings controls which columns the table shows, which ones land in your CSV, and what order they sit in. Tags is hidden by default on both — your tags are still there, turn the column back on under Column Settings → Display. Turn on Auto Bookmark No-Website GBPs in Advanced settings to automatically capture hot leads as you research.
Searching in the extension is free. It reads the Google results already on your screen, so a search never costs a credit — it only counts against your monthly extension search allowance (unlimited once you subscribe). Searching in the web app is different: it fetches licensed data on our servers and costs 0.2 credits per search.
Credits are a separate currency, spent only when NFP has to call out for data Google's page doesn't give you: Referring Domains (RD) is 1 credit, Keyword CPC is 3, and a location lookup for spoofing is 1. Cached results are free, and saving, exporting, and organizing never cost anything.
Tap the chat icon in the top icon row. It's powered by the same Discord bot that lives in the NFP community — ask it anything about NFP, scoring, RD/CPC, Turbo, settings, or troubleshooting and it'll answer with linked sources.
Free to use, no credits required. If you'd rather chat with a human, all subscribers get access to the NFP Discord.
Click the gear icon in the top-right to open Settings. There are five tabs:
NFP works immediately as a Guest in the extension. Verifying your email bumps you to Basic, and a subscription unlocks the full toolset, unlimited extension searching, and 250 monthly credits that roll over up to 750.
Extension searches and credits are counted separately: searching in the extension is free and capped only on Guest and Basic, while credits are spent on RD, CPC and location lookups. Every account starts with 10 credits.
| Tier | Extension searches / mo | Favorites | Bookmarks | Credits | Perks |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Guest | 25 | 5 | 5 | 10 one-time | 3 result exports, 1 Favorites export, 1 Turbo run |
| Basic | 50 | 15 | 15 | same 10 | Verify your email, 10 result exports, 3 Favorites exports, 3 Turbo runs |
| Subscriber | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited | 250 / mo rolls over up to 750 | Turbo, exports, webhooks, Discord |
| Lifetime | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited | 250 / mo rolls over up to 750 | All Subscriber perks, forever |
The 10 starting credits are granted once per account, not monthly — verifying your email moves the same account to Basic and doesn't hand out another 10. A subscription is what starts the 250/mo allowance.
Those counts are extension searches — they read the Google page you're already on, so they cost no credits. Searching in the web app at app.niche-finder.pro is metered in credits instead, at 0.2 credits per search: 50 searches from the 10 starting credits, or about 1,250 a month on a paid plan.
To get started, click the account icon in the extension and verify your email. To unlock full access, purchase a subscription.
Already purchased on another machine? Open the extension's Account page and enter the code from your purchase email — or just use the one-click activation link in that email.
Your subscription works across multiple browsers and machines. Open the Devices page from the account menu to name each install (e.g. "Laptop", "Office Desktop"), link new devices, or remove ones you no longer use.
You're all set — open the extension on a Google search and start researching.
