Your competitive research assistant for local search markets.
What is NFP?
NFP analyzes Google search results and Google Business Profiles to help you find
low-competition, high-opportunity local markets. Pin the extension, open it on a
Google search page, and start researching in seconds.
- Score the competition — Every result gets a 0–100 score using review counts, ratings, and referring-domain data
- Map Pack & Organic insights — One panel covers Google's local pack and the organic results below
- Spot weak competitors fast — Directory sites (Yelp, BBB, Angi) auto-fade so real competitors stand out
- Save & export — Track niches as Favorites, individual listings as Bookmarks, and export to CSV or webhook
- AI Assistant + Discord — Ask the in-extension assistant any product question, or jump into the Discord for live help
Search & Analyze
Open NFP while on a Google search page. Enter a keyword and a location to analyze the competition.
- Keyword + Location — Enter a niche (e.g. "towing") and a city
(e.g. "Austin, TX"), then hit Search. Comma-separate multiple keywords or locations to queue them up.
- Map Pack View — Switch to the Map tab to browse Google Business
Profiles with review counts, star ratings, and a quick competition read at a glance.
- Referring Domains (RD) — Click the RD button on any result to
pull page-level and root-domain backlink data. Low RD signals a weak competitor — and an opportunity.
- CPC lookup — Click the CPC button on a keyword to fetch Google Ads
cost-per-click, monthly search volume, competition level, and trend. Costs 1 credit, cached lookups are free.
- Keyboard shortcuts — Enter to search, Shift+Enter for the next
location, Ctrl+Enter for the previous. Prev/Next buttons cycle through your queued keywords too.
Favorites vs Bookmarks
NFP has two ways to save research — they serve different purposes.
★
Favorites = Keyword + Location Pairs
Save a niche you want to track. Rate it with stars, add tags, and write notes.
Favorites represent a market opportunity — e.g. "plumber in Austin, TX".
🔖
Bookmarks = Individual Listings
Save a specific business or website from the results. Bookmarks capture the domain,
phone, rating, and type (GBP or Organic). Great for tracking competitors or leads.
Access Favorites and Bookmarks anytime from the icon row at the top of the popup.
Both support filtering, tagging, and CSV export. Turn on
Auto Bookmark No-Website GBPs in Advanced settings to
automatically capture hot leads as you research.
Credits, RD & CPC
Most of NFP is free to use. Credits only get spent on fresh Referring Domain (RD) lookups
and CPC lookups — everything else, including saving, exporting, and searching, is included with your plan.
- Ahrefs Toolbar = free RD — If the Ahrefs SEO Toolbar is installed
and you're signed in, NFP reads RD straight from the page. No credits used.
- No Ahrefs? 1 credit per domain — NFP fetches RD through its
built-in lookup. Once a domain is cached, checking it again is free, even on a different search.
- RD modes (Settings → API Credits) —
Off (manual only),
Cached (show previously looked-up RD, never spend),
or Auto (look up RD as results come in).
In Auto mode, set a Homepage Site score threshold so credits only burn on promising niches.
- CPC = always manual — CPC never runs on its own. Click the CPC
button on a keyword when you want the money picture. 1 credit per lookup, cached lookups are free.
The AI Assistant
Tap the chat icon in the top icon row to open the in-extension Assistant. It's powered by the same
Discord bot that lives in the NFP community — ask it anything about the extension, scoring, RD/CPC,
Turbo, settings, or troubleshooting and it'll answer with linked sources.
Free to use, no credits required. If you'd rather chat with a human, all subscribers get access to
the NFP Discord.
Settings & Customization
Click the gear icon in the top-right to open Settings. There are five tabs:
- Basic — RD threshold, review threshold, scoring system,
and toggles for ignoring ads, unpersonalized results, and closing tabs after search.
- Advanced — Export format (NFP or Unemployable template),
Webhook URL for sending exports to Sheets or Make.com, and the
Auto Bookmark No-Website GBPs toggle.
- Location — Spoof your search location to research markets in
other cities, states, or countries as if you were sitting there.
- Turbo — Batch-run searches across keywords and locations,
with population filters, distance radius, and locale limits. Customization is a subscriber perk.
- API Credits — Configure RD lookup mode, set the Homepage
Site score threshold for Auto mode, and view your current credit balance and subscription status.
